Mobile Crisis Resolution Team program

Legacy Treatment Services operates a State-designated Crisis Intervention Program for Chester County, providing evaluations 24 hours a day / 365 days a year to individuals experiencing a psychiatric crisis or posing a danger to self, others or property.

 

Benefits

  • Time and a half pay for work on Agency-recognized holidays
  • Training opportunities provided throughout the year

Pay: $20 to $20.50 range – pay depends upon education / experience

Schedule: various shifts available 

 

Job Summary

The Certified Peer Specialist will provide supportive peer counseling and advocacy to adult consumers receiving services through this mobile crisis program.


Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates knowledge of mental illness and the services available in the community
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide car appropariate to the needs of the consumers served
  • Must be able to assess and interpreset data about he consumer’s status in oder to identify each consumer’s needs and provide the appropriate care, including age-related care, needed by the consumer group
  • Required to report to work in inclement weather
  • Part-time staff must work a minimum of 2 major holidays

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with proof of some post-high school training, college work, or certificate program; Associate’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year in recovery and must have knowledge of the mental health system
  • Expected to obtain general certification for peer services
  • Driver’s license must be in good standing, with no recent suspensions or violations of careless/reckless driving or excessive speeding of more than 20 MPH, and no more than 2 moving violations within the last 3 years
