Position Summary: 

As a Business Intelligence Engineer you will work to identify opportunities for improvement and drive execution of continuous improvement initiatives including service reliability, process efficiencies, organizational velocity, and cost effectiveness via our Operational Readiness program.  

You will be using a data driven approach to initiate and measure improvement efforts across the entire SPS Commerce organization.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Working with dev teams to monitor, build, and improve operational Key Performance Indicators 
  • Measure, operate and ensure adherence to critical business processes such as Change Management, Incident Management and Operational Confidence 
  • Promote change to instill a continuous improvement culture throughout the organization. 
  • Develop and deliver highly effective data analysis and reporting for recurring and ad hoc needs. 
  • Coordinate and operate solutions to collect and report on business-critical data. 
  • Demonstrate ability for analyzing and displaying quantitative data for valuable insights. 
  • Interact with multiple layers of the organization successfully initiating change and demonstrate an ability to influence across delivery teams. 
  • Demonstrate problem solving and collaboration skills. 
  • Using available data, propose process improvement initiatives to the delivery of key results in areas such as cost-effectiveness, team performance & velocity, service reliability, security of services, etc. 

Location: 

This is a hybrid role based in our Brampton Office in Toronto 

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience or 5 years of experience without a degree. 
  • Experience driving high impact initiatives across cross multiple teams. 
  • Experience working in either an AWS or Azure cloud environment 
  • Experience in creating and maintaining PowerBI reports by building data pipelines and integrating data using Python. 
  • Ability to understand complex organization processes, take the data and results, and drive towards sights and solutions. 
  • Willingness to take risks, challenge status quo and work under ambiguous circumstances. 
  • Ability to influence others, manage difficult situations, and overcome challenges within a service delivery team. 
  • Ability to comprehend and work with basic Python programming concepts. 
  • Experience and understanding in industry best practices for processes and cultures such as: 
  • Agile and/or Lean 
  • Change Management 
  • Incident Management 
  • DevOps 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 1+ years Project Management. 
  • 1+ years Data Analysis and Reporting. 
  • 1+ years working across all levels of leadership within an organization. 
  • Experience writing scripts and functions in Python. 

 

What We Offer:

The salary range for this role considers several factors, including education, relevant skills, work history, certifications, location, and more. 

The annual salary range for this role is: $71,300 - $106,900. The actual salary offered will be determined based on the factors listed above and may fall anywhere within the range. 

Additionally, you may also be eligible to participate in an annual incentive program. An incentive award, if granted, is based on individual and/or organizational performance.
