We are looking for a highly skilled Business Development Representative (BDR) focused on K–12 to support our sales and outreach initiatives. As the first point of contact between school leaders and our platform, you will introduce our solutions to schools and districts, identify decision-makers, and set up qualified meetings for our Partnership Managers. This role is high visibility, collaborates frequently with cross-functional teams, and is client-facing. It is an entry-level opportunity ideal for someone looking to break into EdTech sales, with the training and support to build a strong foundation in education-focused business development.

In This Role You Will:

Outreach and Engagement

  • Proactively reach out to K–12 administrators, educators, district, and school leaders via email, phone, and social media
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing to support specific go-to-market motions to drive revenue
  • Educate prospects on how our tools support teachers and improve student learning

Lead Qualification and Meeting Setup

  • Qualify leads based on school or district needs, decision-making structure, and timeline
  • Schedule high-quality meetings for Account Executives and manage follow-ups

CRM and Collaboration

  • Track activity, outreach, and results in our CRM (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Collaborate with marketing on campaign feedback and outreach strategy

Industry Knowledge

  • Stay up to date on K–12 trends and challenges, including funding cycles and academic goals

Core Competencies for Success:

  • Passion for education and driven by purpose
  • Willingness to cold-call or send cold emails, seeing "no" as the start of a conversation
  • Organizational skills and coachability
  • Eagerness to grow in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear and respectful communication with educators and peers

Credentials and Experience:

  • Experience working in or with K–12 schools (e.g., tutoring, admin, nonprofit, Teach for America) preferred
  • Familiarity with the education buying cycle or how school districts make decisions
  • Previous experience using CRM or sales engagement tools (not required—training provided)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Legal right to work in the United States

This role can sit in North Carolina, South Carolina, or Florida. The pay rate for this position is between $23.27 - $25.00 per hour, however, pay rate offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
