Open Law Library is looking for a Business Development Representative to join our team, with flexible hours and remote work location. The Business Development Representative (BDR) plays a key role in driving revenue growth by generating new business opportunities and expanding relationships with potential clients.Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful BDR will use your communication and organization skills to cultivate strong relationships with potential clients. Previous experience in developing leads from cold calling or marketing campaigns is preferred.Responsibilities include but not limited to:- Researching and identifying potential clients based on target demographics.- Utilizing various channels, such as cold calling, emailing, and social media, to connect with prospects and initiate conversations.- Developing and implementing targeted outreach strategies to attract new leads.- Qualifying leads based on needs, authority, budget, and timeline and other relevant metrics to determine their potential.- Follow up with conference attendees- Nurturing relationships with qualified leads through consistent communication and providing relevant information.- Understanding client needs and effectively communicating the value proposition of the company’s products or services.- Working closely with the team members to ensure a smooth handover of qualified leads and support sales efforts.- Collaborating with team to develop targeted campaigns and align messaging across channels.- Maintaining accurate records of leads and customer interactions in the CRM system (e.g. ZoomOne).- Opportunity to travel to attend conferences (option/not required)- Generating reports on key metrics such as scheduled meetings and touchpoints.Key Skills and Qualifications- Minimum 1 year of business development or sales experience preferred- Prior business to government experience a plus- Knowledge of legal publishing space a plus- Working knowledge of CRM tools or similar applications- Knowledge of business processes and sales techniques preferred- Familiarity with other sales and marketing tools, including email automation and social selling platforms.- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills- The ability to identify opportunities, develop effective strategies, and overcome challenges is important.- A self-starter, a strong work ethic, and a desire to achieve goals are essential.- Be able to prioritize tasks, manage a pipeline of leads, and maintain accurate records is vital.- Bachelor’s degree preferredApplication ProcessIf you are a motivated individual seeking an opportunity to contribute to a growing organization, please submit your resume and cover letter to jobs@openlawlib.org.Candidates who progress will be contacted for an initial phone screening.Benefits include health insurance, retirement with matching contribution, generous leave, and a training stipend.Who are we?Open Law Library is a not-for-profit, open-access publisher.
