About the Role
The Director of Business Development will lead origination efforts for the firm’s Trade Credit & Risk Solutions division, a full-service brokerage and advisory group supporting both corporate clients and lending institutions.
Reporting directly to executive leadership, this role carries a revenue target of $1.5M–$2M annually and is supported by a robust marketing engine, a dedicated business development team, and a proven referral partner network—no cold calling required.
This is a high-impact, entrepreneurial opportunity suited to a hunter-minded sales leader ready to build market presence and drive meaningful income growth.
Key Responsibilities

Develop new client relationships through referral channels and personal network outreach.

Manage a pipeline of qualified trade credit and risk advisory opportunities.

Represent the firm at client meetings, industry conferences, and trade events (some travel required).

Partner with internal finance and technology teams to identify cross-selling opportunities.

Maintain and grow relationships with insurance carriers and financial partners.

Contribute to the firm’s continued national expansion plan (targeting five regional directors across the U.S.).
Ideal Background

Minimum 5 years of experience in trade credit, credit insurance, or financial services sales.

Proven success managing a $1.5M+ revenue portfolio and consistently exceeding targets.

Exposure to Fintech/Insurtech, PE-backed, or lending environments (ABL, turnaround, factoring, etc.) strongly preferred.

Skilled in competitive displacement and consultative, solution-based selling.

Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and driven by performance-based rewards.

Bachelor’s degree required; focus in Finance, Marketing, or Communications preferred.
