Position Description: Business Applications Administrator
Reports to: First Vice President Operations & Digital Strategy
Grade Level: 11 Exempt
Full Salary Range: $65,272.57 - $97,908.85
Hiring Salary Range: $65,272.57 - $81,590.71
Primary Responsibilities:
The Business Applications Administrator is responsible for managing, coordinating, and testing system upgrades. This highly collaborative role is critical in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of business applications across the organization and across multiple teams.
The detail-oriented position acts as a liaison between digital strategy and business units, ensuring system changes meet business requirements, are fully tested, and comply with operational and regulatory standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate testing of upgrades, solutions, and new software
- Assist lines of business in full and efficient use of software and processes
- Advocate for member experience and benefit through digital solutions throughout credit union
- Create, update, and maintain standards and scripts for testing and implementation
- Maintain pending tickets and testing during troubleshooting
- Research existing/new processes to accommodate various modifications
- Schedule upgrades to minimize member downtime
- Utilize computer/technical skills to research, propose, test, and implement solutions to non-core software issues
- Assist with core system upgrade maintenance, upgrades, and testing.
- With First VP, propose and implement roadmap for software upgrades
- Work with lines of business to ensure software needs are being met
- Maintain log of system changes
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, or a related field -or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience with configuration, upgrade management, and testing.
- Experience working in a credit union or financial institution.
- Strong experience writing and executing test scripts, coordinating system upgrades, and performing cross-functional testing.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle, QA methodologies, and change management practices.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across departments.
Skills and Competencies
- Exposure to other systems commonly used in credit unions such as digital banking platforms, loan origination systems, or ECM tools.
- Experience using ticketing systems or project/task management platforms (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, Service Desk Plus, Asana, or Microsoft Project/Planner).
- Excellent communication skills and a drive to ensure exceptional service is provided to internal customers.
- Strong problem-solving, issue resolution, and project management skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing demands in a dynamic environment.
