We're looking for a skilled BIM Coordinator to coordinate and manage BIM/VDC processes for construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and produce 2D and 3D electrical drawings.
- Participate in coordination meetings to resolve clashes.
- Produce shop drawings, cross-sections, and other electrical systems documentation.
- Prepare RFIs and follow-up responses.
- Read architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings.
- Confer with engineers and project management staff.
- Travel to various project sites.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and safety programs.
Qualifications:
- Journeyman Electrician or experience as BIM/VDC Detailer, BIM/VDC Details, engineer, technical designer, or construction manager.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Journeyman's license (if applicable).
- 2+ years of drafting experience (3+ years preferred).
- Understanding of construction blueprints, specifications, and RFIs.
- Proficiency in 3D coordination with other trades.
- Basic computer skills (folder structure, emails, attachments, keyboard shortcuts).
- Solid working knowledge of Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
- Working knowledge of BIM 360 Glue, BIM Collaborate, or other model viewing/collaboration software (preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
