Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of the strategic and operational plan for the BIM Department, including key performance indicators and tracking metrics.
- Support the preparation of the department’s estimated budget and expected expenditures, ensuring alignment with and adherence to the approved budget.
- Lead, manage, and develop the implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) across the organization.
- Establish procedures for efficient content and knowledge sharing internally and with sub-consultants.
- Coordinate the development, maintenance, and quality control of BIM models, ensuring alignment with project requirements and industry standards.
- Implement best practices in data management and model organization; evaluate and validate BIM deliverables for timeliness and cost-efficiency.
- Supervise the creation of 3D BIM models, BOQs, cost estimations, analysis, specification linking, and construction documents using Revit Architecture, with proficiency in Revit Structure and Revit MEP.
- Lead clash detection and service coordination using Revit and Navisworks.
- Manage Revit content libraries, including the creation of families using formulae, nesting, and type catalogs.
- Administer and execute BIM training programs tailored to staff BIM engagement levels.
- Serve as the main technical point of contact for BIM tools and software; resolve technical issues and maintain smooth workflows.
- Track project progress and resolve issues related to BIM implementation.
- Lead BIM coordination meetings and conduct spatial coordination across disciplines by integrating all discipline-specific BIM models.
- Analyze project data and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of BIM implementation, identify improvement areas, and provide recommendations.
- Ensure transparency and accountability by delivering regular updates to top management and stakeholders on BIM progress, issues, and achievements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience.
- BIM Manager Certification (BMC).
- Excellent oral and written command of English and Arabic.
- Proficient in BIM analysis software and design tools.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 19650 standards for BIM.
- Familiarity with Health & Safety standards in line with ISO 45001.
- Strategic and critical thinking.
