About the Role:
This position plays a crucial role in supporting the successful execution of construction projects by leveraging Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology. As a BIM Manager / Coordinator, you will collaborate with project teams to develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive 3D models, and utilize BIM data for improved project coordination, communication, and quality control. This role will have a strong focus on creating BIM models that will be utilized for long-term facility management, maintenance, and asset management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain accurate 3D models using BIM software (Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Navisworks).
2. Ensure model accuracy and compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and company BIM protocols.
3. Coordinate model development with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
4. Develop and maintain 4D schedules to visualize construction progress and identify potential delays.
5. Assist in developing 5D cost models for improved cost estimation and control.
6. Perform clash detection analyses to identify and resolve conflicts.
7. Coordinate with project teams to address and resolve clashes effectively.
8. Develop BIM models with a focus on long-term facility management needs.
9. Create detailed asset registers within the model.
10. Link building systems and components to maintenance schedules and records.
11. Facilitate space planning and utilization analysis.
12. Support building operations and maintenance activities.
13. Prepare and maintain project documentation related to BIM.
14. Communicate effectively with project teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
15. Research and stay updated on the latest BIM technologies, software, and best practices.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
2. 5+ years of BIM modeling and coordination experience on construction projects.
3. Proficiency in BIM software (Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud).
4. Strong understanding of construction principles, methods, and materials.
5. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
6. Experience with 4D/5D modeling, MEP coordination, and contract documents a plus.
