Minimum Requirements for A320 Captains Prospective candidates must meet the following essential criteria: A minimum of 3,500 total flight hours accumulated. A minimum of 1,000 Pilot-in-Command (PIC) hours accrued specifically on the Airbus A320 Family aircraft. Possession of a current, valid A320 Type Rating. Possession of a current FAA, ICAO, or EASA Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
