Job Summary
Our client is seeking a talented Animal Research Technician to support vivarium operations at a clinical-stage biotechnology company. The position involves contributing to daily vivarium activities, ensuring animal care and regulatory compliance, and fostering career growth among staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Support staff development by providing guidance and training.
- Ensure animal care in accordance with regulations and protocols.
- Uphold safety and quality standards, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Conduct regular audits and update SOPs to address findings.
- Oversee maintenance and certification of vivarium equipment.
- Contribute to writing lab SOPs, methods, and protocols.
- Support in vivo research, including PKPD and disease model studies.
- Perform injection techniques, dosing, and other animal-related procedures.
- Collaborate on study planning, experimental design, and data analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science or related discipline.
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
Experience
- 6+ years of hands-on in vivo experience with responsibility for animal husbandry.
Skills
- Experience in rodent handling and proficiency with in vivo procedures.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Affinity for animals with respect for their welfare.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
