The Opportunity

We are looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst II to be responsible for delivering data driven insights to non-technical and technical stakeholders through the development and maintenance of self-serving reporting tools and ad hoc analysis. This position will work closely with cross-functional partners in Analytics, Product, and State Management, among others, to ensure our business decisions and strategies are rooted in facts, so we can continue to grow and grow well.

Root is a “work where it works best” company. Meaning we will assist you working in whatever location that works best for you across the US. We will continue to have our headquarters in Columbus and offices in other locations to give more flexibility and more choice about how we live and work.

Salary Range: $95,000 - $105,000 (Bonus & LTI Eligible)

How You Will Make an Impact

• Maintain a suite of business intelligence frameworks and dashboards that unlock actionable business insights

• Analyze business performance and investigate anomalous behaviors and trends

• Reliably and consistently meet reporting and delivery deadlines to develop trust and help stakeholders unlock value and move the business forward

• Develop automated processes to increase the velocity of uncovering insights from our standard report suite

• Build strong relationships with cross functional partners to maintain alignment and awareness across initiatives

What You Will Need to Succeed

• 1+ years of work experience in analytics (prior insurance experience preferred)

• Proficiency with SQL and BI software (Tableau, Mode, Power BI, etc.)

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or another quantitative field

• Passion for leveraging data to develop insights that drive action, and ultimately, impact

• Strong written and oral communication

• Detail oriented; consistently maintains rigorous documentation

• Roll-up-the sleeves work ethic and “do-what-it takes” attitude to efficiently execute and drive results in a fast-paced work environment
