About the Role
We’re looking for a Data Engineer to join our growing AI product team and help scale our flagship platform, Pythia.
Pythia is an AI-driven analytics platform that empowers marketers to unlock insights from their customer, operational, transactional, and digital data. Think of it as Jarvis from Iron Man—a 24/7 digital insights assistant.
Our mission is to make AI-driven analytics accessible through both self-service SaaS and managed service offerings. We’ve built our MVP and are now scaling fast. This role is central to that growth journey, working closely with our UK and APAC teams to develop, optimise, and deploy next-generation AI capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines to support AI product development.
- Collaborate with data scientists and machine learning engineers to enable efficient model training and deployment.
- Optimise data workflows, feature engineering, and real-time data processing for AI applications.
- Implement best practices for model monitoring, logging, and performance optimisation.
- Develop APIs and microservices to integrate AI models into production environments.
- Ensure scalability, reliability, and security of AI infrastructure.
- Leverage cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) to manage and deploy AI-driven applications.
- Work closely with software engineers and product teams to ensure AI solutions are seamlessly integrated into products.
- Stay updated with emerging AI, data engineering, and cloud technologies.
About You
We’re looking for someone with the right balance of technical depth, creativity, and a passion for innovation. You’ll thrive in a collaborative environment and be excited about building something new.
You will need to have:
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer, AI Engineer, or similar role (minimum 3 years).
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
- Experience with big data frameworks such as Apache Spark or Hadoop.
- Proficiency in machine learning model deployment and optimisation.
- Strong knowledge of cloud-based AI/ML services (AWS SageMaker, GCP AI Platform, Azure ML).
- Familiarity with MLOps, CI/CD pipelines, and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with distributed computing and scalable data architectures.
- Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferably, you’ll also bring:
- Experience with real-time data streaming technologies (Kafka, Flink).
- Knowledge of deep learning and NLP techniques.
- Familiarity with data lakes, warehouses, and metadata management.
- Experience supporting AI-driven product development at scale.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and cross-functional collaboration.
