AI & Data - Data Scientist, Experienced Associate/Senior Associate

We go beyond strategy and provide end to end implementation of real-life data environments and have some of the best technology architects, project managers, business analysts, data scientists, big data engineers, developers, and consultants in the region.

We are looking for Data Scientists within the AI & Data team in our Malaysia office. This role is offered on a full-time basis.

Your key responsibilities

• Work with a team of data scientists on both technical and business issues
• Develop data science projects by defining objectives and establishing timelines
• Communicate with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to provide updates on progress and ensure alignment with objectives
• Work with diverse stakeholders to identify their challenges with data that can be addressed using various Analysis techniques.

• Responsible for communicating analytics model behavior/results to business
• Apply strong understanding of data science techniques and libraries to business problems
• Be involved in all aspects of the Project life-cycle, including Strategy, Road-Mapping, Architecture, Implementation and Development in order to gain maximum exposure to set you up for a successful consulting career.

Skills and attributes for success

• At least 2 years’ experience in Data Science/Machine Learning role
• Proficient in Python and its data science related libraries such as NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, and TensorFlow.
• Have experience in analyzing large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
• Have experience building and deploying machine learning models for real-world applications.
• Have experience in developing and maintaining data pipelines to ensure data quality and accessibility.
• Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms, including NLP and deep learning techniques.
• Proficient with relational databases (e.g. SQL).
• Understanding of Big Data and cloud-based data architecture
• Exceptional communication, documentation and presentation skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong analytical mindset.
• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, IT, Physics, Mathematics or any related field.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Consulting experience and background, including engaging directly with clients
• Experience with NLP libraries and frameworks.
• Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and their applications.
• Knowledge and experience in end-to-end project delivery, either traditional SDLC or agile delivery methodologies (or hybrid approaches)
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
• Knowledge or background in data engineering is a plus
