About the job
Roycemore School seeks a passionate and organized After-School Program Coordinator to lead our daily after-school activities for our Middle School Division. In this role, you'll be responsible for supervising a small team of high school student employees and coordinating with our external partner, Nexplore, to ensure a safe, fun, and educational experience for all participants.
This is a part-time position with the following hours:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Thursday: 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM
Compensation: $20/hour, no benefits
Key Responsibilities
- Program Management: Oversee all daily operations of the after-school program, including student sign-ins, managing the schedule, and ensuring a smooth transition between activities.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to a small team of high school student employees.
- Partnership Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for Nexplore, coordinating their weekly activity sessions and ensuring their programs align with our overall goals.
- Student Engagement: Maintain a positive and supportive environment for students, addressing any behavioral issues as they arise and fostering a sense of community.
- Administrative Tasks: Handle light administrative duties, such as attendance tracking and communicating with parents or guardians as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children and/or high school students in an educational or recreational setting.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A positive attitude and a commitment to creating a safe and engaging environment for students.
