Vacancy for an Administrative Assistant
Salary: Meridian Trust Grade 6, Point 7-12
Hours: 37 hours term time plus 5 days. Daily start time 7.30am.
We have an exciting vacancy for an enthusiastic and well organised administrative assistant to join Sharnbrook Academy! Your day to day work will include; providing an efficient and effective general administrative service for the school, administering daily logistics for cover of absent staff and covering reception in the absence of the receptionist.
The opportunity:
- A fulfilling and rewarding role where you will be making a difference and valued as part of a team.
- Answering phone calls and emails in a timely manner.
- An opportunity to use a range of administrative skills including scanning, filing, photocopying, and using Microsoft Office.
- Arrange, coordinate and communicate details for meetings, training and events.
- Provide receptionist cover if required.

The ideal candidate:
- A good educational background - GCSE qualifications or above.
- Experience of working in a school or office environment.
- Experience in working in an administrative environment.
- Possess outstanding communication skills and can work well in a team.
- An understanding of child protection and safeguarding issues.
