We promote learning and collaboration among clergy, academics, communal leaders, and students from high school through postgraduate and seminary programs.
Position Overview
• Position: Part-time (20 hours/week) Administrative Assistant
• Pay: $26,000 annually
• Location: Hybrid role (remote and onsite)
• Reports To: Director of the Miller Center
Key Responsibilities
Scheduling & Director Support
• Proactively manage the Director's calendar, including scheduling and updates
• Send reminders and Zoom links for appointments
• Coordinate all travel and accommodation arrangements
• Assist with contracts for teaching engagements (internal and external)
Team Support
• Distribute agenda for weekly staff meetings
• Attend meetings, manage hybrid technology setup
• Summarize action items post-meeting
• Maintain electronic files on shared and secure drives
• Collaborate with HR to draft and approve hiring and consulting letters
Development Support
• Participate in bi-weekly development meetings
• Support fundraising follow-up activities
• Review Gifts Reports to track progress
• Prepare materials for grant submissions
Business Office & Budget Support
• Process check requests, POs, and credit card charges with accuracy
• Oversee timely payment of stipends, honoraria, and invoices
• Manage contracts for program retreat spaces
• Coordinate gift and grant coding with development and finance teams
Additional Duties
• Manage communications related to the Miller Advisory Council, including notifications and invitations
• Perform other administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
• Strong interpersonal communication skills across all levels
• Flexible, detail-oriented, and able to meet tight deadlines
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in teams
• Experience tracking donations and handling accounts payable
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• High professionalism and discretion with sensitive information
