Adjunct Faculty in Sociology
Position Purpose
New England College seeks a part-time faculty member to teach two sections of Introduction to Sociology face-to-face in the undergraduate residential program for spring 2025 and longer, as needed.
Essential Duties Summary
Engage all students to facilitate and achieve course learning outcomes;
Review and grade all work submitted by students and provide timely and substantive feedback;
Coach struggling students toward success;
Provide 'experiential learning' opportunities whenever possible.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of a master's degree in sociology or related field
Prior teaching and proven record of teaching effectiveness
Preferred Qualifications
PhD in Sociology or related field
