Billing Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Billing Analyst. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including Macros and VBA), Power BI, and other data analytical tools. This role is critical in ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our billing and sales operations, directly impacting our ability to offer competitive shipping rates.
Key responsibilities
Internal Reporting and Customer Support Prepare and present internal reports on billing metrics and trends. Provide support to customers on billing process, helping them to understand their invoices and resolve queries.
Invoice Audit and Reconciliation Conduct thorough audits of invoices to ensure billing accuracy. Reconcile invoices against shipping records and resolve any discrepancies.
Freezing and Sending of Invoices Finalize (freeze) invoices for each billing period and ensure timely dispatch to clients. Maintain accurate records of sent invoices.
Data Management & Analysis Perform data cleansing, validation, and optimization ensure data accuracy. Ability to handle large client data sets and collaborate with the sales team to deliver timely proposals. Affinity with numbers and experienced in handling large customer data.
Proposal Preparation & Recommendations Stay updated with carrier rates to guarantee that recommendations are competitive and beneficial for both company and clients. Work closely with the sales team to deliver case-specific requests. Prepare proposals for clients based on leads
Skills & Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience in finance, accounting, data analytics, or related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including macros and VBA. Proficient in written and verbal communication in English. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Capability to manage multiple projects and adhere to tight deadlines. Experience working remotely. Ability to work 9 am EST to 6 pm EST.
