Barista / Cashier — Vanilla Café, Hollywood

Cozy café Vanilla at our new location in Hollywood, FL (Vanilla Cafe Hollywood, 1810 S Young Cir, Hollywood, FL 33020) is looking for a full-time Barista / Cashier to join our small, friendly team.

• Schedule: 40 hours per week, 4–5 days a week
• Pay: $14/hour (~$2,240/month) + tips
• Type: Full-time, in person

You’ll prepare espresso drinks, run the register, help guests at the counter and tables, and keep the café clean and welcoming.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a cafe, bakery, or coffee shop
• English and strong communication skills
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and staying friendly under pressure
• Reliability and punctuality
• Team-player attitude — everyone helps where needed.

• Prepare espresso-based and filter coffee drinks according to our recipes and quality standards
• Provide warm, attentive, and efficient service to every guest
• Operate the POS system, handle cash and card payments accurately
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, pastry display, and guest areas
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times
• Restock coffee, milk, pastries, and other supplies throughout the shift
• Support colleagues during busy hours and contribute to a positive team atmosphere

• 1+ year of experience as a Barista or in a similar cafe/coffee shop role
• Confident skills in preparing espresso-based drinks and basic latte art
• Basic knowledge of specialty coffee, brewing methods, and grinder adjustment
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple orders at once
• Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail
• Willingness to follow recipes and quality standards, and to learn our coffee story
